Hypro (Aust) is a joint venture with Tuscany Farms. The Hypro (Aust) production facilities are based in Sydney’s Northwest and has been operating since 1998 specialising in animal nutrition. Hypro (Aust) supports the Australian primary industry with feed mills and is one of the largest recyclers, converting foods for human consumption into quality stock feeds. Within a market that is ever so rapidly changing, it was Hypro (Aust) management opinion that we must create value to the business and expand into other markets. Our products are considered more suitable than just straight grain, because once the product is cooked, the starches become gelatinized and the product is then considered highly digestible for animals. Hypro (Aust) realised that through improving its existing products by value adding, the company could provide and sustain a premium dry dog food for the Australian rural market. To achieve this, a plan was discussed and implemented to make dog food from these products.

Hypro (Aust) made the decision in 2006 to expand into dog food manufacturing providing the Australian rural market with an affordable premium dry dog food. Since then, DogPro™ has truly become a progressive development of Hypro (Aust) specialising in dog nutrition.
